Surrey Trimming Ltd is owned and managed by Paul Bird. Paul has been working in the trimming business for over 35 years.
Surrey Trimming doesn’t have a fixed price list as most of our jobs are individually tailored to customer’s requirements. Work is charged on a time and materials basis, although customers will normally be given a good guide price before work starts.
We have a secure workshop which is fully insured for most cars, however, some of the old classics have gone up so much in value we may have to sort out some extra cover for that. If you have any special concerns about security, please speak to Paul.
Our work flow is very variable but we always try to schedule urgent jobs to suit our customers’ requirements. We normally have a waiting list for full re-trims on classic cars.
Not necessarily – depending on the condition of the seat, we will more than likely be able to replace individual panels with a matched piece of leather/vinyl/fabric.
We only do a seat repair properly - no paint, no filling holes, just remove the panel of leather/fabric/vinyl and replace with new. Stitched up in the correct manner so nobody would ever know. For a third of the price of most new covers.
We are happy to work with you on your classic car refurbishment. Together we can draw up a schedule of work which could include seats, head lining, carpets, luggage space fittings, bespoke luggage, door panels, steering wheel and gaiters.
